It is time to start thinking about the American Sheep Industry Association's (ASI) 2013 Photo Contest. The contest is open to all who wish to enter, which means you do not have to be involved in the U.S. sheep, lamb or wool industries to participate. The only rule is that your photograph must include sheep. Entries must be postmarked by Aug. 16, 2013.

Through the American Sheep Industry Association (ASI), a Sheep Heritage Foundation Memorial Scholarship in the amount of $1,500 is being made available for sheep-related graduate studies. The scholarship is for the advancement of the sheep industry, lamb and wool through financial support of a graduate-level (MS or Ph.D.) student. DEADLINE: JUNE 1.

The Colorado Wool Growers Association took a look at seasonal lamb production practices in that state. The video touches on all aspects of lamb "From the Ranch Gate to the Dinner Plate." Topics include where chops come from, processing plants, challenges and cooking techniques with the video broken down shorter individual chapters.
