Dr. Jake Thorne and Dr. Shawn Ramsey will be holding the Texas A&M AgriLife Small Ruminant Pregnancy Ultrasound School on Nov 23-24th at the research and extension center San Angelo.
During this 2-day course, attendees will receive hands-on instruction on how to preg-scan small ruminants, including counting and aging fetuses. There will also be classroom presentations that supplement the hands-on material.
Attendees should expect to leave feeling confident in their abilities to scan their own flocks and how to best use this information to optimize lamb crop. Several previous attendees have brought their own machines, but it is certainly not a requirement; all the equipment will be provided.
The cost of the course is $300 for TX residents and $600 for non-residents.
