Description

Professional sheep shearing in an intensive, hands-on trade essential for the well-being of wool sheep. Shearing Schools typically provide hands-on education for shearing techniques, wool handling, and livestock handling. In addition to technical skills, students may also gain valuable insight into sheep behavior and care, equipment maintenance, and occupational safety.
Beginner shearing schools are offered across the U.S., typically from September through May. Advanced shearing schools are offered at select times and locations.
Shearing schools are not hosted by, endorsed, or sponsored by ASI.
