SDSGA is set to hold its 7th Annual Premium Yearling Ewe Sale on July 25th, 2026.

The SDSGA is looking for potential consignors of top-quality yearling ewes. The SDSGA Premium Yearling Ewe Sale is already an important regional sheep sale, impacting genetics for years to come.

The sale will offer 500 head of top-quality registered and commercial replacement ewes born from Jan 1, 2025, to Jan 1, 2026. The sale will consist mainly of white-face western ewes ~ including Rambouillet, Polypay & Targhee. Black-face ewes offered may include Hampshires & Suffolks.

Please share the news of this sale with potential buyers across the region as it will provide a great opportunity for sheep producers and 4-H/FFA youth to acquire foundation genetics from reputable breeders to develop a high-performing ewe flock.

SDSU Extension will offer an educational program from 10 am – 12 pm, followed by a free lamb lunch and viewing of the ewes offered before the sale.
