NLFA Leadership School Deadline Close

There is still time to register for the July 14-17 Howard Wyman Sheep Industry Leadership School. Participants 20 years of age or older who are interested in all aspects of sheep production have until May 3 to register. This year’s school will be held in San Angelo, Texas, and is directed by Frank Craddock, Ph.D., professor and extension specialist at Texas A&M. 
Limited to 25 students, school participants will study sheep and goat carcass evaluation and fabrication. The class will tour a sheep and goat operation, one of the last remaining wool scouring plants, feedlots, custom skin and pelt operations and see current and future research efforts at the Texas A&M AgriLife Research and Extension Center. 
There is no fee to apply though once accepted, each attendee must submit a registration fee of $200 to assist with meals, lodging and tour-related expenses. Participants are responsible for their own travel to the school.
