 will be hosting an online webinar series called "Optimizing sheep nutrit
 ion: a virtual management series". It will be via Zoom on Thursday eveni
 ngs from 7-9pm (Eastern time) from October 8 until November 12.\nThis 6-
 part management webinar series will focus on nutritional management of the
  flock.  The instructors bring a wealth of knowledge gained from years of
  research and practical experience working with producers on the nutrition
 al management of sheep.  This program will be of interest to both beginn
 ing and experienced producers and will discuss feeding systems and man
 agement approaches for both small flocks and large-scale commercial farms
 .  Participants will receive access to all webinar recordings\, a ration 
 balancing program\, and will be mailed a compendium of articles on the nut
 ritional management of sheep as supplemental program material.  \n\n\nPr
 ogram Agenda:\n\n\n\nSession 1\, Oct. 8. Forage quality. What is it and w
 hy does it matter for flock nutrition? Flock feeding systems.\n\n\n\nSessi
 on 2\, Oct. 15. Understanding flock nutritional requirements and how they
  influence nutritional management.\n\n\n\nSession 3\, Oct. 22. Strategic 
 nutritional management of the ewe throughout the production cycle.  \n\n
 \n\nSession 4\, Oct. 29. Feeding for growth: market lamb and flock replac
 ement ewe feeding strategies. \n\n\n\nSession 5\, Nov. 5. The importance
  of supplements: minerals\, vitamins and coccidiostats.\n\n\n\nSession 6\,
  Nov. 12. Putting it all together with diet formulation for different fee
 ding phases and production systems.\n\n\n\n The cost is $30 per househo
 ld. Each participant will receive a spiral bound compendium on sheep nut
 ritional management as a supplementary reference to reinforce course conce
 pts as well as access to MSU Flock Feed– a ration balancing program. In
