Make-A-Wish Helping Sheep Lover's Dream Comes True at Trailing of the Sheep Festival
September 23, 2016

Make-A-Wish is helping a sheep loving 20-year-old attend this year's Trailing of the Sheep Festival. Make-A-Wish is used to fulfilling dreams for children who are battling illnesses. Wishes to visit Disney World, swim with dolphins in Hawaii or go fishing in Alaska are common. But when Shelby Huff requested to attend a sheep festival in Idaho, well…that was a first for the organization.

"She went through a couple different ideas but ultimately landed on Trailing of the Sheep as her wish. To experience Idaho and the scenic landscape and she loves animals and especially the sheep, so she found them online," said Brenda Vogt, Make-A-Wish Idaho.

Huff's wish will be granted when she travels from her home in Hill City, S.D., to attend the annual Trailing Of The Sheep Festival. The festival is celebrating its 20th year this Oct. 5-9.
