Government Programs

The American Sheep Industry Association (ASI) works closely with the U.S. Senate and U.S. House of Representatives as well as the U.S. Department of Agriculture to make available to producers programs that will benefit the advancement of the industry. These programs are designed to assist the industry and to provide producers financial support during economically challenging times. Programs available to producers cover a wide range: Lamb Meat Adjustment Assistance Program (LMAAP), Crop Disaster Program (CDP) and Marketing Assistance Loans and Loan Deficiency Payments (LDP’s), to name a few.
