Future Planning Dates

January 16, 2004

Jan. 16, 2004 -- On Feb. 19-20, 2004, the American Sheep Industry Association, in conjunction with Colorado State University, will be conducting another ?train-the-trainer? workshop in the area of Sheep Safety and Quality Assurance (SSQA).

This ?train-the-trainer? program is designed to prepare individuals to go out and teach growers and feeders how to implement SSQA plans on their operation. SSQA works to maximize consumer confidence in sheep by using research and education to improve management during the production of safe and high-quality sheep products.

Those who successfully complete the course will be certified and will receive a complete set of teaching materials, including electronic curricula and training manual. Enrollment in the workshop is limited and will be accepted on a first-come/first-serve basis.

The fee for the workshop is $75. To register, contact Nancy at (970) 491-7604. Lodging is available at the Ramada Inn in Fort Collins, Colo., for $49 per night. This rate is available only until Feb. 6, 2004, and can be obtained by calling (970) 484-4660.
