Dorr Resigns

November 7, 2008 - Agriculture Secretary Ed Schafer announced this week the resignation of Thomas Dorr, under secretary for the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Rural Development.
"Dorr has been a transformational leader for USDA's Rural Development," Schafer said. "As the transition to a new administration continues in the months ahead, senior leaders will be moving on, but Dorr's contributions to USDA and rural America will be felt for many years to come."
Dorr's resignation will be effective Dec. 1, 2008.
