R.H. Lindsay Wool Pool

Oct. 24, 2003 -- R.H. Lindsay Co. will operate a wool pool for local wool growers on two days ? Tuesday, November 11 and Saturday, November 22 -- from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The pool will be held at Carrabassett Trading Co. in Oxford, Mass.

Growers will be paid within 90 days of receipt on the following per pound basis: whiteface 54?s and finer, $.35; whiteface 50?s and courser, $.23; blackface, $.23; clean old wool, $.18; black wool, $.10; oddments and other old wool, $.10; and buyer?s choice, $1.25 (hand-spinning quality fleeces).
