Holiday Listing of Slaughter Lambs and Goats for Sale

Oct. 24, 2003 -- Each fall, the Northeast Sheep and Goat Marketing Program at Cornell University send livestock buyers a ?holiday listing? that inventories the lambs and goats producers have available for sale. This list is sent to buyers across 12 of the Northeastern states as well as posted on the Web site at http://www.sheepgoatmarketing.org/sgm/index.html.

This program was put into place to reinvigorate the lamb and goat meat industry in the northeastern United States by improving producer access to equitable markets while building regional capacity to supply the growing consumer demand for high quality lamb and goat meat.
