National Lamb Feeders School a Huge Success
According to National Lamb Feeders Association (NLFA) President, Cleve Dumdi, this year?s Howard Wyman Sheep Industry Leadership School was a major success. The NLFA-sponsored event was held July 18-20 in Sioux Falls, S.D., and was enjoyed by 31 participants -- a record number of attendees.
The leadership school provides an opportunity for anyone with a serious interest in sheep production to gain a comprehensive understanding of the production, feeding, marketing and promotion practices currently utilized within the industry.
?It was encouraging for the industry to see so many young people participate in the class this year,? said Dumdi. ?There was great variety in the program with exposure to varied farm operations and a packing plant as well as diversified industry presentations.?
The NLFA board of directors also used this opportunity to conduct their summer board meeting.
