Wool Handlers Wanted

April 25, 2008 -- The Golden Shears World Shearing Competition will be held Oct. 2-5, 2008, in Bjerkreim, Norway. In addition to sheep shearing, there is a wool handling competition. The shearing team representing the United States would also like to field a wool handling team for this international competition.
If you are a wool handler and would like to consider competing in the wool handling contest, please contact Doug Rathke at 320-587-6094 for additional information and participation requirements. Rathke is the coordinator for the U.S. Golden Shearers team.
