The American Coopworth Registry (ACR) held its first annual meeting in conjunction with the recent Maryland Sheep & Wool Festival. Elected as temporary officers were Martha McGrath, president, and Pam Child, secretary.

More than 80 sheep have been registered and 200 animals entered into the database since the registry?s formation in Spring 2002.

Registry forms will soon be available through the ACR Web site ? www.AmericanCoopworthRegistry.org ? as will marketplace information, where members will be able to advertise lambs, wool and equipment for sale.

Membership in ACR is $20 year for the first year, then $15 a year thereafter.
