American Lamb Hits American BBQs

Its uniquely mild flavor and tender texture makes fresh American lamb the ideal grilling meat and an exciting change from the ordinary barbecue fare. We all know that since it is raised right here in America, it is the freshest, most flavorful lamb available.

As Americans enjoy the warmer weather, the lamb checkoff is reminding cooks to consider American lamb for casual family barbecues, as well as elegant outdoor dinner parties. A newspaper release featuring recipes from ?Lambassador? chefs Jen Jasinski (Rioja, Denver, Colo.) and Brooke Vosika (Four Seasons, New York, N.Y.) showcased spring and summer uses of American lamb.

In addition, Chef Vosika was featured in a satellite media release the week of June 6.

The Father?s Day Grilling segment instructed viewers to show Dad he is loved by making a delicious and simple grilled American lamb feast. Chef Vosika demonstrated how to prepare his gourmet ?Grilled American Lamb Sandwich with Goat Cheese Crumble, Peppered Tomatoes Roasted Peppers? and featured recipe ?Mesquite Smoked American Lamb Chops with Garden Tomato, Rustic Panzanella Bread and Basil Leaf Salad.? Chef Vosika also provided grilling tips and additional recipe ideas perfect for casual and formal outdoor dining.
