Charleston Museum claims to be America's oldest museum. Charleston Museum opened in 1824 and has a rich collection of local artifacts like George Washington's christening cup, chairs that delegates sat on to sign South Carolina's Ordinance of Secession and firearms used in the Civil War.
The honorees of the prestigious American Wool Council Wool Excellence Award have been selected. John Mackenzie and Doug Lundsford will be recognized during the Wool Recognition lunch on Thursday, Jan. 22, during the 2014 American Sheep Industry Association/National Lamb Feeders Association Convention in Charleston, S.C.
The sheep industry will be given an opportunity to recognize Mackenzie and Lundsford for their service to the industry during this event. This is a ticketed event. Tickets must be purchased in advance and can be purchased in conjunction with a convention registration.
