Executive of Agri Beef Co. Rick Stott accepted the position of Chief Executive Officer for Superior Farms Lamb this week. During his 19 years at Agri Beef, Stott also served as president of Agri Beef subsidiary Snake River Farms and vice president, treasurer and corporate controller for Boise, Idaho-based Agri Beef. Since 2011, Stott has served on Superior Farms/Transhumance board of directors.
"During the last 19 years, I have had the privilege of working closely with great people," said Stott. "Agri Beef has grown from a Northwest feeder to a leader in the beef industry and I feel privileged to be a part of that success. However, I'm very excited to join Superior Farms and the lamb industry. Through my involvement as a director, I've had the opportunity to become familiar with the company, the industry and its employee-owners. It will be an exciting and challenging opportunity."
Previously, Stott was responsible at Agri Beef for deploying new opportunities, acquisitions, information technology strategy, marketing and regulatory and public policy affairs. Among other strategic initiatives, Stott headed a team to launch a new company to market protein directly to consumers at TheDoubleRRanch.com.
Stott is a fifth-generation cattleman and holds both a bachelor's and a master's degree in accounting from Brigham Young University.
