Published by the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), the report reviews the current progress of scrapie eradication in the United States. For example, as of July 31, seven flocks in six states have been designated infected or source in fiscal year 2012.
Other topics reviewed in this report include on-farm surveillance, total animals sampled and positive scrapie cases.
