Proper Feeding of Ewes During Breeding and Pregnancy

Rodney Kott, Ph.D., and Lisa Surber, Ph.D., from Montana State University will be the presenters for this session.

Proper feeding of ewes has a direct affect on production and represents one of the largest input costs for a producer. This program will focus on ewe nutrition during breeding and pregnancy. Some of the topics that will be covered include feeding strategies for flushing ewes, feeding during early pregnancy and winter supplementation of range ewes. Differing feeding objectives for ewes of different body compositions will be covered. The webinar will end with a question/answer period regarding sheep nutritional issues around breeding and pregnancy.
