Farm Broadcasters Receive Updates on Sheep Industry Issues

January 2005 -- Farm broadcasters from around the nation flocked to the American Sheep Industry Association booth during the 60th Annual Meeting of the National Association of Farm Broadcasters, held Nov. 17-20 in Kansas City. Montana WoolGrowers Association State Executive Bob Gilbert staffed the ASI booth, where he gave more than 20 interviews on subjects ranging from lamb and wool markets to the ewe-lamb replacement/retention program, the upcoming American Lamb Board referendum and the annual Wool Trust program and its success in increasing American wool exports.

Also present at this year?s NAFB convention was the American Lamb Board. ALB Marketing Committee Chair and Ohio sheep producer Nick Forrest (left) and ALB Communications Committee Chair and Colorado sheep producer Mary Clarke gave interviews on the association?s numerous promotional activities.
