FLOCK is an international public art project that anyone can join. The target goal is to create 5,000 wool sheep pom-poms. 2,065 have already been submitted with 2,935 still needed.
Participants are asked to make wool sheep and to take inspiration from local breeds. The project's aim is to encourage creativity and collaboration while raising awareness and celebrating the sheep and wool industries.
According to Joanne Leary, project worker, "We have already had a number of sheep sent over from America, which is fantastic. We hope to receive many more."
FLOCK is coordinated by Eden Arts, an arts organization in Eden in Cumbria, United Kingdom.
A kit, along with additional information about the project, is available at www.jointheflock.co.uk.
