The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) is seeking nominations for 10 vacancies on the Grain Inspection, Packers and Stockyards Administration's Grain Inspection Advisory Committee.
The Advisory Committee consists of 15 members and 15 alternates, appointed by the secretary, who represent the interests of grain producers, processors, handlers, merchandisers, consumers and exporters. While members of the advisory committee serve without compensation, USDA reimburses travel expenses, including per diem in lieu of subsistence, for travel away from their homes or regular places of business in performance of advisory committee service.
Interested producers can contact the American Sheep Industry Association (ASI) office at 303-771-3500 or email email@example.com. All nominations must be submitted to ASI before Feb. 10 in order for ASI to process the paperwork.
