New English Lamb Cuts Flying off Supermarket Shelves

November 15, 2004

November 2004 -- New cuts of English lamb being market tested in French supermarkets are flying off the shelves. The Mille Plaisirs d? Agneau range, created by the English Beef and Lamb Executive, comprise nine different cuts that are being supplied to 14 branches of the French supermarket, Intermarche.

The new cuts include stuffed skewers, meat balls, burgers, lamb chunks and lamb shanks. The aim is to satisfy the needs of both the processor, who deals with balanced cuts, and the French consumer, by providing a variety of cuts suitable for all meal occasions.
