Catch a big wave. Shear a sheep. See an active volcano. Shear a sheep. Attend a Luau. Shear a sheep. The Hawaii Sheep and Goat Association is looking for shearers to shear its flocks.
The flocks in Hawaii are generally small, which makes it financially challenging for a shearer to make ends meet. But, what it if you are a shearer from the mainland vacationing on the Big Island and wanting to pick up a little extra cash to help defer costs? This could be an option for you.
If you are interested in learning more about this opportunity, contact Jan Dean, president of the Hawaii Sheep and Goat Association, at
