USSES Draft Environmental Impact Statement Posted

The U.S. Department of Agriculture's Agricultural Research Service (ARS), U.S. Sheep Experiment Station (USSES), Dubois, Idaho, is in the process of completing analysis for the procedures to implement the National Environmental Policy Act.

The Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS) and appendices have been posted to the ARS, Dubois, Idaho, website, www.ars.usda.gov/News/docs.htm?docid=17878. Draft specialist reports have also be posted.

Public comments will be accepted for 45 days from the date the Notice of Availability is published in the Federal Register. Comments should be sent to USSES@fs.fed.us and should be specific to the USSES grazing and associated activities and the effects of the proposed activities.

A decision is expected to be made in mid-March 2012.
