Want to improve the quality of your wool clip? Learn the basics about the proper handling of sheep and wool at the shearing site, limit wool contamination, understand the concepts of wool packaging and gain an introductory knowledge in wool classing (the art of sorting wools for better marketing). The course will also include basic wool biology, grade and value determining characteristics, as well as packing wool to limit contamination.
The school will run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday, March 28-29. It will be held at the Mid-States Wool Warehouse in Canal Winchester, Ohio. The first 20 students to apply and pay the $25 registration fee will be accepted into the course.
