FAS Report Details Export Programs at Work

The Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS) of the U.S. Department of Agriculture has released a new report, "Export Programs at Work," that highlights the success of industry partners using export market development programs administered by FAS in fiscal year 2010.

The American Sheep Industry Association is highlighted in this report for its utilization of the FAS programs in its promotion of sheep/lamb pelts and wool into foreign markets.

Fiscal year 2010 total exports are forecast to reach $107.5 billion, $11.1 billion higher than in 2009 ($96.4 billion) and the second highest on record. Exports in 2011 are forecast at $113 billion, approaching the record set in 2008 of $115 billion."
