Send Questions on Livestock Traceability to Drovers

August 13, 2010

Later this month, the U.S. Animal Health Association and National Institute for Animal Agriculture will hold a joint forum on animal-disease traceability. This forum will allow stakeholders in the livestock industry to discuss and provide input to the U.S. Department of Agriculture's (USDA) Proposed Rule for Animal Disease Traceability.

During the forum's closing session on August 31, Drovers managing editor John Maday will serve as a facilitator, questioning a panel of state animal-health officials and others to identify key issues and consensus points to carry forward as industry provides input on future USDA policies. If you cannot attend but have questions you would like to see addressed during the forum, please send them to Maday at jmaday@Drovers.com. He will ask as many of your questions as time allows and summarize the answers on www.Drovers.com.

Additional information about the traceability forum is available at www.animalagriculture.org/Solutions/Joint%20Forum/Home.html.
