The American Wool Council, a division of the American Sheep Industry Association (ASI), elected a new slate of officers to lead the Wool Foundation for the next year. As designated by the bylaws of the foundation, the board of directors is comprised of Wool Council members.
Elected to office were Joe Pozzi (Calif.), president; Tony Theos (Colo.), vice president; Ron Pope, Ph.D. (Texas), secretary; Chuck Dallas (Mont.), chairman; Larry Prager (S.D.), vice chairman; and Randy Tundy (Mont.), treasurer.
The American Wool Foundation is the non-profit entity dedicated to the delivery of programs for the wool industry. It administers the trust funding and, through an agreement with the U.S. Department of Agriculture, contracts with ASI to implement the programs. The charge of the foundation is to share wool information, marketing news, promotional programs and quality improvement strategies.
