Faribault Mills, Faribault, Minn., one the last wool blanket mills in the United States and last fully vertically integrated mill, closed in 2009 after 143 years in business. The assets of the company including machinery, equipment, works in progress and all intellectual property and finished inventory are now being offered for sale.
The assets are being offered "in its entirety" (financing may be available) in hopes a buyer can be found to re-open the mill, thus saving U.S. jobs, or separately if a single buyer cannot be found. The sale is being handled by two leading U.S. textile equipment companies.
