ASI Membership Contest Winners Announced

September 2004 -- Winners of the American Sheep Industry (ASI) membership contest were announced at the July ASI Executive Board meeting in Denver. They are Arkansas, with a 133-percent increase in state membership from the previous year, and West Virginia, with a 74-percent increase in state membership from the previous year.

The contest was proposed to ASI?s Executive Board and approved by the ASI Board of Directors at the 2004 ASI Convention held January 2004 in Sacramento. The comparison member numbers were taken from May 31, 2003, to May 31, 2004. Each state was awarded $100, which will be subtracted from its 2005 ASI dues.
