ASI Accepting Council Nominations

February 5, 2010

The American Sheep Industry Association (ASI) is accepting nominations for members to its councils and committees for the upcoming year. Councils and committees are instrumental in working for sheep producers by recommending and setting policy that designates direction for the industry. ASI has five councils with many related committees. The councils include wool, lamb, legislative, producer education and research and resource management.

Council and committee memberships are volunteer and are appointed for terms of one year. Nominations for councils and committees should be forwarded to your state sheep producer association for submission to ASI.

The executive board will be meeting on Monday, Feb. 22, 2010, to finalize appointments. Therefore, all nominations must be submitted on or before Thursday, Feb. 11, 2010, to be compiled for distribution.

The heart and soul of ASI are the individuals who volunteer a portion of their time and energy to work on behalf of the industry. ASI is an organization for producers, run by producers!
