HBO will premiere its original film "Temple Grandin" on Feb. 6. This film is the inspirational true story of Grandin and depicts her perseverance and determination as a young woman struggling with the isolating challenges of autism. Grandin is internationally known for applying unique situations she experienced growing up with autism and associating them with the treatment of animals in stressful situations. Her research and insight revolutionized the treatment of livestock handling processes.
Grandin is a faculty member of Colorado State University's Department of Animal Science and authored the handling and facilities chapter in the American Sheep Industry Association's Sheep Production Handbook.
