The wool market continued to surge ahead, closing up by the end of the week. The rising Australian dollar seemed to have had little effect on the market's exuberance.
Marketing manager at Lempriere Fox and Lillie, Eamon Timms, said the market was hot at the start of the week, but dropped off slightly by the end.
"It got to a point where the market ran up quite significantly at the start of the week," he said.
And is the surging market heading for a bust?
"I don't think we're looking at a bust. If there is a correction, it will not be a significant one, but the market could backtrack a little from the gains it made over the past few months," said Timms.
