Endurance Shearing Airs on AgDay

The two American shearers who recently set precedent for marathon endurance sheep shearing in the United States were highlighted on the Thursday, Aug. 13, edition of AgDay-The Country Experience. Doug Rathke (Minn.) and Gavin McKerrow (Wisc.) sheared 1,094 sheep in a 24-hour period.

AgDay was in Dimmitt, Texas, to document the event. The report includes footage of the shearing as well as interviews with the shearers. To see the story, go to www.AgDay.com, and play the Thursday, Aug. 13, program.

Since the daily programs are only posted on the Web site for five days, the American Sheep Industry Association is working with AgDay to include a link on the www.sheepusa.org Web site to offer extended viewing of the endurance sheep shearing event.
