An additional article has been posted to the 2009 edition of the Sheep and Goat Research Journal.

"Wool Price Differences by Preparation in the United States," written by David P. Anderson, Oral Capps, Jr., Ernest E. Davis and Shayla D. Teichelman, examines price differences for U.S. wools by looking at preparation variations and wool type. Data was collected from warehouses and wool pool sales across the United States from 1993 to 2002. The goal was to determine premium/discounts in wool prices by preparation and type, controlling for season, year, region, average-fiber diameter and lot size.

This and other industry-specific research articles can be accessed at www.sheepusa.org by clicking on the research journal link.

In 2005, the journal transitioned from a paper publication to an online publication. Work is ongoing to format earlier editions into electronic format providing broader access to this current sheep industry research.
