APHIS Announces NAIS Meetings

The U.S. Department of Agriculture's Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service announced six upcoming meetings to discuss stakeholder concerns related to the implementation of the National Animal Identification System (NAIS).

The meetings will be held on June 9 in Jefferson City, Mo.; on June 11 in Rapid City, S.D.; on June 16 in Albuquerque, N.M.; on June 18 in Riverside, Calif.; on June 25 in Raleigh, N.C.; and on June 27 in Jasper, Fla. The meetings will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day.

Although pre-registration is not required, participants are asked to pre-register by e-mailing NAISSessions@aphis.usda.gov or calling 301-734-0799. In the subject line of the e-mail, indicate your name (or organization name) and the location of the meeting you plan to attend.

To present comments during one of the meetings, please include your name (or organization name) and address in the body of the message.
