ASI Executive Board Meeting Announcement

The executive board of the American Sheep Industry Association (ASI) has set its winter meeting for Feb. 27-28, 2009, in Denver, Colo.

The top agenda item for this meeting is the appointment of council and committee members for 2009. State association leaders are reminded that for nominations to be considered, they must be received at the ASI office on or before Thursday, Feb. 19. Producers interested in serving or being re-appointed to a council or committee should contact the state association leaders or the executive board member for your region of the country to have your name submitted.

"This meeting is the lead off for implementation of the policies approved by the board of directors during the annual convention every January. Additionally, this time of year is the start of a new Congress or session of Congress, so it is the launch of legislative activities as well," commented Peter Orwick, executive director for ASI.
