Senate Ag Committee Announced

Sen. Tom Harkin (Iowa), chairman of the Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition and Forestry, this week announced the list of democratic senators that will comprise the majority of the committee. The republican leadership made its announcement regarding members last week, with the exception of one vacancy.

Democratic members of the Ag Committee include Tom Harkin (Iowa); Patrick J. Leahy (Vt.); Kent Conrad (N.D.); Max Baucus (Mont.); Blanche L. Lincoln (Ark.); Debbie Stabenow (Mich.); E. Benjamin Nelson (Neb.); Sherrod Brown (Ohio); Robert P. Casey, Jr. (Penn.); Amy Klobuchar (Minn.); Kirsten Gillibrand (N.Y.); and Michael Bennet (Colo.).

The Republican roster includes Saxby Chambliss (Ga.); Richard Lugar (Ind.); Thad Cochran (Miss.); Mitch McConnell (Ky.); Pat Roberts (Kan.); Mike Johanns (Neb.); Charles Grassley (Iowa); John Thune (S.D.); and the republican leader designee.
