October 31, 2008 - The American Sheep Industry Association (ASI) will be recognizing active sheep research programs from across the United States at its 2009 convention in San Diego, Calif., on Jan. 22, 2009. Inclusion of research efforts in this new program will provide an opportunity for researchers to communicate scientific findings to sheep producers and industry leaders.
Sheep research efforts from the following disciplines will be selected: genetics, nutrition, physiology, pasture/range management, meat science, production and management, animal health/disease and wool.
The submission deadline is today, Oct. 31, 2008; however, researchers may contact Justin Luther at
Justin.Luther@ndsu.edu to request an extension until Monday, November 3. Authors will be notified of their selection prior to Nov. 14.
