March 21, 2008 - With an April 1 deadline approaching, the American Sheep Industry Association (ASI) submitted its nomination for the producer director slot on the board of the American Sheep and Goat Center. Guy Flora (Ohio) was nominated for selection to another term for the seat that he currently holds on this board.
"Flora is well known and appreciated in the U.S. sheep industry. He will continue to be a valuable member of the board as the center moves into its second year as a private non-profit organization," commented Burdell Johnson, ASI president, in his letter of nomination.
The ASGC is a private non-profit organization designed to assist the U.S. sheep and goat industries by strengthening and enhancing the production and marketing of sheep, goats and their products in the United States. The board members manage and oversee the activities of the center.
