February 1, 2008 - The American Sheep and Goat Center (ASGC) announced that it is accepting nominations to its board of directors for two voting directors' positions whose terms expire in 2008. Both open positions are for members who are active sheep or goat producers.
The two open seats are currently held by Linda Campbell (Va.) and Guy Flora (Ohio). Both board members are eligible for reappointment.
As the lead national organization approved to submit nominations, the American Sheep Industry Association (ASI) is asking individuals and state associations interested in submitting a director nomination to contact Peter Orwick, email@example.com
, at the ASI office prior to Feb. 21, 2008. The ASI executive board will be meeting on March 1 to approve nominations.
The other members of the board include Paul Lewis (Ore.), Chase Hibbard (Mont.), Clark Willis (Utah), Greg Ahart (Calif.), Larry Miller (Md.) and Tim Turner, DVM (Texas).
The ASGC is a private non-profit organization designed to assist the U.S. sheep and goat industries by strengthening and enhancing the production and marketing of sheep, goats and their products in the United States.
