Shearing Records Tumble as the Clippers Fly

October 26, 2007 - Two western Queensland, Australia, shearers are in the record books, after jointly shearing 709 merino wethers over eight hours last weekend.
Dave Grant from Longreach and Laurie Bateman from Bollon share the world record, with Grant's tally of 356 shorn sheep recognized as an individual record.
The attempt was scrutinized by international judges.
