Drafted Farm Bill Expected Soon

July 6, 2007 - The American Sheep Industry Association expects to receive a copy of the House Agriculture Committee Chairman Collin Peterson's (Minn) Farm Bill draft by no later than the morning of Monday, July 9.
Peterson has said that he intends to mark-up the bill on July 17, and is releasing it soon so people can have the language before that occurs. According to Peterson, the 2008 Farm Bill will be split into two separate bills focusing on what can currently be funded and that of future funding.
