2007 Farm Bill Timeline

June 15, 2007 - House Agriculture Committee Chairman Collin Peterson said the Farm Bill markup process is proceeding. The subcommittees will finish marking up their titles by June 19 and the full committee will begin markup on June 26. Peterson expects to be done before the July 4 recess and get floor time a week after Congress returns in July.

The American Sheep Industry Association continued industry meetings with congressional leaders this week in support of the industry's priority programs, which include the loan deficiency program for wool and the National Sheep Industry Improvement Center.
