May 18, 2007 - The American Lamb Board (ALB) has approved funding for eight matching-grant proposals in the second round of its 2007 Matching Grant Program. The grant applications are now being reviewed by the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

The matching grant proposals that were approved include: Lamb in the Classroom (N.D.), Soldier Hollow Classic (Utah), Iowa Sheep and Wool Festival (Iowa), Lamb for Ewe, A Lamb Retail Promotion (Mont.), Trailing of the Sheep (Idaho), Colorado Proud TV Advertising (Colo.), Sheep in the Foot Hills (Idaho) and Garden State Sheep Breeders Festival (N.J.).

The ALB developed the matching grant program to expand its marketing and promotions activities by working collaboratively with industry organizations.
