Sheep numbers at lowest levels

May 18, 2007 - The Australian Bureau of Statistics agricultural census has found sheep numbers at 91.9 million head are at their lowest level in Australia since 1925.
Cattle numbers have remained fairly steady, while the national dairy herd has dropped off slightly.
