Ag Appropriations Waits for 110th

December 15, 2006 - At about midnight last Friday, the Senate by voice vote approved a continuing resolution (CR) extending until Feb. 15 funding for the 13 federal departments and various programs whose appropriations bills have not been passed.
President Bush signed that CR on Saturday morning, which had previously been approved by the House.
Only the Defense and Homeland Security measures have been signed into law. The agriculture legislation is one that will wait until the 110th Congress is sworn in to be finalized.
