Ultra-Fine Wool Bale Sells for Seasonal Record Price

December 1, 2006 - A seasonal record has been set for an ultra-fine bale of wool in Newcastle, Australia.
The 12.4 micron bale from the New England area of New South Wales sold for slightly more than $350 per pound.
The bale was sold to an Italian weaver.
